Foreclosure Prevention Counseling
HUD Approved Counseling Agency now offering home ownership preservation counseling by appointment for owner occupied homeowners in financial distress, behind on their mortgage payments, or facing interest rate resets from an adjustable rate or interest only mortgage. Head for Home
Head for Home is an approved VHDA educational course taught by professional real estate experts in the mortgage, realty, and legal field. You will learn from beginning to end about the real estate home buying process. A notebook will be provided to you the first night of the class with detailed information about the home buying process.
All classes are held at TMBA Headquarters, 638 Independence Parkway,
Chesapeake, VA 23320. Course Covers: Budget, Credit, Lender, REALTOR®,
Home Inspector, Attorney-Title.
You will need to be present both Tuesday & Thursday
evenings from 6:30 to 9:30 pm. This 6-hour course is free to all
participants.
Please sign up to help with sponsorship this year! Cost to
sponsor for one month is $150.00 payable to TMBA
(Co-sponsor with a REALTOR®, Home Inspector,
Settlement Co/Attorney). Speakers can be provided to
assist in all areas.

North Carolina License Renewal
Effective July 1, 2002, the Mortgage Lending Act ("MLA" as codified in NCGS Chapter 53, Article 19A) requires that any entity engaged in the business of making or brokering residential mortgage loans secured by North Carolina real estate be licensed by the NC Commissioner of Banks ("NCCOB"), unless exempt. All licenses expire annually on December 31st, if approved after April 30, 2007. Learn More
